walk IV (sky puddles)

2025

walk as part of B-Open and Kunstsatellitten KODE, Slettebakken, Norway
duration: 90min
material: single use cameras, pencils, paper, a letter to the old beech trees at Kristofer Jansons vei

How do plants and buildings meet? Take a sheet of paper, make a small hole in it and look at the plants through this hole. How many colours has the sky today? Find a small stone and keep it in your pocket for the rest of the day. Then place it somewhere where it's likely to feel comfortable. Discover the sky in a puddle. Try to draw it. [...]

We go for a walk in the neighbourhood and observe what we encounter. The participants are invited to make use of analog tools and to be offline and without smartphones for the duration of the walk. We draw, write, talk and take photos. Probably, we look more carefully and slowly when using pencils and viewfinders? How is it possible to discover the familiar anew?
